Here is something to consider if you are thinking about purchasing a System 2000 boiler because you want to save fuel. These boilers are very high efficient and you will save on your fuel oil bill. But here are some of the items that I found out the hard way.

What they don't tell you about your System 2000 boiler is that after you purchased their boiler you will need a chimney liner to prevent your chimney from dripping condensation backing into the house. A chimney liner will cost you approx. $1,000 to have it installed by a professional.
They also don't tell you that the Maintenance contract will include an additional surcharge fee of $85.00 if you use less that 600 gallons of fuel a year. (So, if you have a well insulated home that was built in the 1978 era, 2 heating levels, (basement & street level, this means you will pay this additional fee for saving oil. ) Wasn't the purpose of getting this boiler to save money. Yet the Marran Oil will charge you for not using a lot of oil.
